Information we collect

Regu may process information you provide directly, information generated while using the service, and basic technical data needed to operate the app and website.

  • Account information such as user ID, email address, display name if provided, login provider, and premium or purchase status.
  • Birth chart inputs such as birth date, birth time, and city-level birth location, used to calculate chart placements, transits, timing windows, and related features.
  • Private user content such as journal entries, saved chart notes, support messages, and other text you choose to submit.
  • Transit Pulse and check-in data such as selected daily response, life area, local date, related sky event context, and limited cohort traits used for anonymous statistics.
  • Community experience data such as intensity ratings, optional written experiences, natal pattern identifiers, transit window context, review status, report reasons, and hidden contributor preferences.
  • Technical and diagnostic data such as device type, operating system, app version, usage events, crash logs, performance data, and server logs.

How we use information

We use information to provide and improve Regu, including to:

  • create and update your account;
  • calculate charts, moon phases, transits, natal patterns, timing windows, and related app features;
  • save private history, journals, and settings where the feature requires it;
  • produce anonymous aggregate statistics, cohort summaries, and community comparison views;
  • review, approve, reject, remove, or investigate community experiences and reports;
  • respond to support requests and account questions;
  • verify premium access, restore purchases, and prevent entitlement errors;
  • send push notifications only where permitted by the user and supported by app settings;
  • maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose bugs, and improve reliability.

Cookies, advertising, and third-party providers

The Regu website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, measure usage, and — where permitted — show advertising. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, non-identifying usage, and Google AdSense to display ads that help keep our tools free to use.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to Regu and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized ads at aboutads.info/choices.
  • For details on how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see Google's Privacy & Terms.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we request your consent through a Google-certified consent message before setting non-essential advertising and analytics cookies. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through that consent message or your browser's cookie settings.

Anonymous community features

Regu includes community features where people can read or submit experiences connected to transit windows, daily pulse responses, and natal patterns. Public community surfaces are designed to avoid showing names, email addresses, exact birth data, chart degrees, or full birth charts.

Some community data is publicly anonymous but internally pseudonymous. This means Regu may store hashed or internal identifiers so we can prevent duplicate samples, let you update or withdraw your own contribution, process reports, hide contributors from your view, and moderate abuse. These identifiers are not intended to identify you publicly.

Written community experiences are reviewed before appearing publicly. Reports and moderation actions may keep records of the reported content, selected reason, timestamps, and internal reviewer actions so we can respond to safety concerns.

AI-assisted or generated content

Regu may offer AI-assisted explanatory features in the future as clearly marked, optional experiences that interpret existing user data and in-app context. When such a feature is available, only the data needed to generate the relevant explanation is processed. Current community, journal, and Pulse features are not AI-generated.

Third-party services

Regu relies on service providers to operate the app, website, payments, notifications, analytics, and support workflows. These providers may process data only as needed to provide their services to Regu.

  • Firebase and Google Cloud services for authentication, database, hosting, server functions, analytics, crash reporting, and diagnostics.
  • RevenueCat and Apple App Store systems for in-app purchase status, subscriptions, restore purchase flows, and entitlement management.
  • OneSignal and Apple Push Notification services for push notification delivery where notifications are enabled.
  • Payment or checkout providers used by the website where a web purchase flow is offered.
  • Google services such as Places or Maps where location search or website analytics/advertising features are used.

Regu does not sell personal data.

Advertising and cookies

The mobile app does not require advertising tracking to function. The website may use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, performance, and advertising. Third-party advertising providers, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads on the website based on visits to this or other websites.

You can manage personalized advertising choices through Google Ads Settings or through industry opt-out tools such as aboutads.info.

Data retention

Account, chart, purchase, journal, support, and private feature data may be kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward where needed for backup, security, legal, support, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.

If you delete your account, Regu will work to remove or de-identify personal account data within a reasonable time. Some anonymous or aggregate community statistics, moderation logs, crash logs, and records needed for legal or security reasons may be retained where they no longer identify you directly or where retention is reasonably necessary.

Your choices and rights

You can use in-app settings or contact us to request help with account deletion, data access, correction, or privacy questions. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal data.

You can also manage notification permissions in iOS settings and manage App Store subscriptions through your Apple account settings.

Security

Regu uses reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No internet or cloud service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to limit access, reduce public exposure of sensitive chart data, and keep community displays intentionally anonymous.

Children

Regu is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the minimum age required in your country, you should use Regu only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child provided personal data without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review the request.

Important limitations

Regu is for personal reflection, informational, and entertainment purposes. It is not medical, legal, financial, therapeutic, mental health, relationship, or professional advice. Do not rely on Regu alone for high-stakes decisions.
